INTRODUCTION

For twenty-one years June in Vermont has been dedicated to celebrating contemporary art and working artists. In 2008, Art’s Alive is teaming up with Kasini House to bring you its largest and most dynamic festival to date.

The purpose of the Art’s Alive Festival of Fine Art is threefold: 1) bring art into the places where people live, work, and play by displaying art in public places; 2) provide a vehicle for Vermont artists to exhibit, promote, and sell their work; and 3) engage the business community around the arts by creating partnerships and demonstrating the marketing and community building power of art.

Our hope is that the relationships built during the festival-be it between a painter and a viewer; a shopkeeper and a sculptor; or a member of the public and a business who connect around a piece of art in the window-will remain beyond the festival and in the years to come.
