2008 Festival Catalog
The work of the 2008 Art’s Alive Festival Artists are featured in the 2008 Vermont Contemporary Art Annual, a publication dedicated to documenting and disseminating the work of Vermont artists. The 120-page annual publication is being launched as part of this year’s festival. It includes images, artist statements, and biographies of fifty-three artists, as well as an essays by Amy Rahn, Gallery Coordinator at West Branch Gallery and Sculpture Park in Stowe and Ric Kasini Kadour of Kasini House Gallery in Burlington and publisher of the Vermont Contemporary Art Annual. The catalog is 8”x8.5” printed in full color and perfect bound.
The cover features Captain’s Log by festival artist Katie Loesel. She uses images of maps, pictorial abstractions, and navigational iconography to represent process and journey. Her work takes a variety of forms: prints, artist books, drawings, installations, and paintings. Captain’s Log is a 7-foot installation of monoprints and other works completed in 2007. Loesel lives in Essex, Vermont.

2007 FESTIVAL CATALOG
For over twenty years June in Vermont has been dedicated to celebrating contemporary art and working artists.
The 2007 Festival Catalog documents the work of festival artists and is a useful reference for those who wish to learn more about an artist.
On the cover is Chapter 44 by Bristol, VT artist and festival participant Carol "Lily" Hinrichsen (48"x36", oil-on-canvas, 2006).
The catalog was released at the Art's Alive Gala Reception on June 1st, 2007.
