STATEMENT
I find I am often drawn to paintings that tell a story, ask a question, debunk a stereotype, or just make you smile. My work is mostly figurative and I am not so much concerned with depicting reality as I am with capturing a feeling, emotion, or moment in time. I love bold bright color and I use color to set the mood and or emotion. My inspiration can come from anywhere but I am always inspired by that blank piece of paper and the anticipation of where the process leads me.

Judy Laliberte is a signature member of the Vermont Watercolor Society and an artist member of The Chaffee Gallery and Art Center in Rutland, Vermont; the Southern Vermont Arts Center in Manchester, Vermont; the AVA Gallery and Art Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire; and the Copley Society of Art in Boston, Massachusetts.
