STATEMENT
Through my photography I want to capture a sense of place that may not be literal, but holds the feeling or the essence of what I’m experiencing or seeing. I’m drawn to a sense of movement and fluidity in images and work with montages, multiple exposures and panning, using 35mm slide film.
BIO
Photography is my creative pathway and my palette is the natural world around me. I use 35 mm slide film to create painterly photographs, focusing on how light transforms the image as well as the emotions it evokes. Following a life long interest in photography, I made a commitment in 2003 to pursue this passion on a deeper level. I attended the Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Montana for a three-month intensive program. I exhibit and sell my photographs in galleries, restaurants and art fairs, as well as teach in northern Vermont.
