STATEMENT
My entire photographic experience is very personal. I lose myself while out on a shoot, allowing my mind to drift so that I might capture an image based on its emotional impact.
I have set out and achieved ‘Green’ status in much of my production. I print on Hahnemuhle Bamboo, Crane 100% cotton papers and canvas & Ilford Gold Fibre Silk primarily. None of these papers uses chemical brighteners and only the Ilford is pulp-based. I use Epson Ultrachrome K3 Inks, which are rated for 200 years, and I coat my prints with ‘Clearstar’, a water-based coating for "Green" and Krylon Preserve-It when "Green" is not required. I care deeply for the environment and feel very strongly about impacting it as little as possible while producing images of it.
BIO
Being an artist for most of my life, I have explored many different mediums over the years, including custom woodworking and music as a lifelong bassist. Photography has been my favorite since early childhood in Queens, New York.
I now have converted from film to the digital world of photography. Now I apply its magic to my love of nature, texture, dimension, angles, motion, time, color, space and light. I attempt to be part of the moment, a fleeting place and time, and freeze it in its infinite beauty, knowing that all things in the universe must change; thus my image, once taken shall never occur again.
