Art Map Burlington, the official publication of First Friday Art Walk, publishes up-to-date information about exhibitions in the city of Burlington and independently-written art reviews and features. The publication is a tool for Burlington residents and visitors to get information about the art community throughout the month. Art Map Burlington is published monthly by Kasini House. The online publication may be viewed at www.artmapburlington.com.

We are currently seeking contributors to write art reviews and short articles about contemporary art exhibitions and venues in Burlington, Vermont. Writers are paid based on experience.

Art Marketing Internship

The purpose of this internship is to learn about marketing art and art events. The intern will participate in the creation and execution of marketing plans for First Friday Art Walk, Art Map Burlington, Art's Alive Festival of Fine Art, Vermont Art Guide, and Kasini House. A large focus is placed on street marketing and working with the media. Participants will end their internship with skills and experience useful to working as an artist or for an arts-oriented organization or business. Kasini House internships are twelve weeks and coincide with the spring, summer, and fall semesters.

Length
12 weeks

Required Commitment
Ten hours per week. Must be available on Thursday or Friday.

Eligibility
The position is open to third and fourth year college students, graduate students, and beginning professionals.

Stipend
No stipends are available

Deadlines
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and interviews are conducted after preliminary review. Internships are awarded four-to-six weeks prior to start.

Gallery Internship

The purpose of this internship is to learn about operating an art gallery. The intern will participate in the operations of a fine art gallery and studio center, including inventory intake and maintenance, art writing, how to make gallery cards and present work to the public. Participants will end their internship with skills and experience useful to working as an artist or for an art gallery. Kasini House internships are twelve weeks and coincide with the spring, summer, and fall semesters.
